How often do you find yourself feeling abandoned by others? Maybe your work colleagues, your friends or even those closest to you. It hurts when those who we believe love us or have our backs, turn away and leave us all alone.
Hosea was a prophet in the Old Testament, a man whose life became a public display of abandonment and betrayal to the people around him. Gomez, his wife, abandons their marriage and runs off after other men. And God tells Hosea that the feelings he feels are the very way God felt about how his people had treated him. Just like Gomez, they had run off after other lovers, other gods.
But God’s promise to Hosea, is that despite their behaviour, despite their rejection of me, I will not stop loving them. I will be there for you and will not let you down.
If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will make contact with you.
This Sunday we begin a news series ‘Love that won’t let go’ – Hosea. Sunday 10am.

Mainly Music – In recess till 8 February 2023. Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.
