Just do it is an advertising slogan released in 1988 by Nike, the shoe company and one most people are pretty familiar with. The writer of Ecclesiastes would have loved it because it summarises the message of his book. Life is short, get out there and make the most of it, especially while you are young. Don’t sit around, waiting for the right circumstances, worrying if you have got it all right because none of us knows what tomorrow will bring. The time to act is now while you can! Bu the teacher, as the writer is called does have one little proviso tucked away - just remember that God will hold you to account or what you have done with your life. So will you spend your life looking out just for yourself or will you use your life to help make this world a better place for all those who live in it?

This Sunday we will be continuing our look into the book of Ecclesiastes. In this book ‘the teacher’ asks questions about life, it’s meaning, purpose and the apparent futileness of life at times. Why do good people suffer, why do bad people get away with things. Is there any point to it all? How do we make sense of life? Over the next few weeks we’re going to be looking at this book and seeking to make sense of some of life’s hard questions.
Mainly Music – School break for two weeks. Restarts Wednesday 27 July from 10.00am. We do ask that you wear a mask. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
