The same is true of any relationship, whether it be between individuals or groups of people. Living together is hard work and even harder when we share a different understanding of how the world works. Perhaps one of the most important things for any of us to learn is how to listen, not just to words, but to the meaning behind those words. When we take time to listen, to stop pushing our own views and hear what is been said, then we open the door to new possibilities. Then we have the chance together, to find ways to work with each other and for each other to make a better world.
This Sunday Andrew will be looking at Acts 15. Here we see the early church grappling with the emerging differences between those of the Jewish faith and the Gentiles who were now joining them. In this passage we see how the church leaders listened to the Spirit and to each other in order to find a way forward.
Mainly Music - Meets this Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is a way for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.
Small Groups are now up and running again. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one
