Prayer is something we think of as essential to the life of a church and yet it is often something that seems hard to do. At a recent elders meeting we talked about how we could encourage each other to be more active and focussed in our prayer as a church. So to help us prayer we invite you all to make August a month of focussed prayer around how we as a church can engage with our community. We would also invite you to pray for our community specifically - schools, council, Kaibosh, Mainly Music, service organisations and the individuals who make up our local community. We will be meeting Thursdays from 1.30-2.30pm and then again in the evening from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Feel free to join us at the church or pray in your own home.
This Sunday we will continue our series on the life of Jeremiah and his call to speak on behalf of God to his people. What was it like to be God’s prophet? What might Jeremiah’s experience have to teach us about following Jesus today?
Mainly Music, our music and movement programme meets every Wednesday from 10.00am. If you have small children feel free to join us.
Small Groups are meeting again. Contact the church if you would like to join one.
Oh and for those who are unable to join us we will still have an on-air service for you @10.30am and again @ 8pm on Thursday evening on Coast Access Radio 104.7FM or you can livestream at
http://coastaccessradio.org.nz/Listen/index.aspx The message and prayers will also be posted to the sermon page on this website.
