The above quote by Henri Nouwen is a reminder that often the things we consider important may not be and the ‘interruptions’ to our lives may be the most important moments of all. Covid-19 was, without doubt, a huge interruption for all of us - our lives were jolted from their normal routines. And many of us discovered that what we had considered so important began to be replaced by other more significant elements. I wonder what this ‘interruption’ has taught you about the things you value most? I wonder if the return to a sense of ‘normality’ has put pressure on you to return to the old way of living and the old routines? And if so, what changes might you want or need to make? What might God be inviting you to discover in this process?
Mainly Music, our music and movement programme, is taking a break over the school holidays. We will recommence on Wednesday 22 July at 10.00am. If you have small children feel free to join us.
This Sunday we will be using the NZBMS Missions material as we think about what it means to be part of ‘The Master’s Piece’ woven together as the people of God. This week we will be thinking about ‘Mending the Mess’ – our part in making the world a better place.
Oh and for those who are unable to join us we will still have an on-air service for you @10.30am and again @ 8pm on Thursday evening on Coast Access Radio 104.7FM or you can livestream at
http://coastaccessradio.org.nz/Listen/index.aspx The message and prayers will also be posted to the sermon page on this website.
