Relationships require us to communicate, to talk with each other. And true communication, if it is to be effective, requires it to be two way - it requires both speaking and hearing. So, to get to know someone new or to keep a relationship growing or to restart a relationship requires us to converse with them. And what is true for us as humans is also true of our relationship with God. To get to know God means we must hold a conversation learning to both speak and listen to what God might want to say to us. We can do that with two very old spiritual disciplines – reading the Bible and prayer. In one we hear God speak and in the other we bare ourselves. Maybe you’ve never been one to talk with God, but this week why not give it a go. Here’s a challenge – set aside three spaces in the week and read John 15. You might like to read it out loud and maybe even use an app like the YouBible to have it read for you. And then ask yourself, What might God be wanting to say to me today in the words I read or hear?

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
