New Year

January 1st is traditionally the time for change, for making new year’s resolutions about how this year we will try to get fit, eat less, work less, spend less, earn more,  - you know who it goes. And the stats tell us that by the end of January, about now,  most of us have already given up. Why? Because doing those things requires change and change is hard.

And the same is true of our spiritual lives as well. We want to pray more, care more, love more, but all those things require us to change as well. Fortunately, we have two things in our favour, 1. We are not alone in trying to change. Jesus promised that it is the Spirit of God which produces real change in us. And 2. We have others who we can share this journey with. The church is not just a building, it’s a group of people who want God to help them change, together, to be the people God created us to be – more caring, more loving, more like Jesus. So why not come and join us as we journey together.

If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to, then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will contact you.

This Sunday @ 10am This coming Sunday we continue our Carey College video series on Mentored for Ministry looking at Paul’s letter to Titus.

A children’s programme is available and a crèche for younger children.

To join with us on air, tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...

Mainly Music – Wednesdays from 10.00am during school terms. Kicks off 12 February. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It is also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
