This coming Sunday marks the beginning of Advent the time in the church calendar when we begin to prepare ourselves for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.
Our theme for this week is Hope. Hope can be a bit of a nebulous thing – we hope in some abstract way that life will get better. I wonder what it is you are hoping for? Maybe with a new Government you hope that life will be better for you and your family. But hope in a Christian sense is based on the belief that God can and does step into our world. Here hope is founded in a God who is on our side and wants the very best for each and every one of us. Here hope is founded in one who loves us, cares for us and longs to be in relationship with us.
If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to, then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will contact you.
This Sunday @ 10am Andrew B will be preaching on the theme of Hope – Jesus the Messiah.
A children’s programme for children aged 3-8 is available during the service and a crèche for younger children.
To join with us on air tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...
Mainly Music – Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern, and support for those with young children.
Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
