What do you see?

A few years ago a series of books appeared with magical hidden  3D images.  At first glance the image just looks like a mix of colours on a page which don’t seem to make sense but hidden within it is a 3 dimensional image.
I still remember the first time I saw one of these.  A friend had a large picture hanging on a wall, so along with others I stood there trying to make sense of it. There were all sorts of suggestions for how to make the picture appear - squint, go cross-eyed, look through it.  (The above image was created using
stereogrambuilder)

For some, the seeing came quickly - others, could never see the image hidden within. For me personally, my seeing was really by accident, as I turned away I caught a glimpse of something and suddenly there it was.  An image so clear, so real that you wondered how it was that you had never seen it before.

Faith can come a bit like that – we look but don’t or can’t see. It all seems so incredulous and then suddenly, one day, we see. I wonder when you look at our world, what you see – chaos, randomness, chance?  Or is there somewhere in there the fingerprint of God – the God who created us and wants to know us.

If you are struggling at this time and just need someone to talk to, then please email us at office@pb.org.nz or call 0223075225 and we will make contact with you.

This Sunday @ 10am we will be thinking about our partnership with Arotahi and the mission we are called to as followers of Jesus. A children’s programme for children aged 3-5 is available during the service and also a crèche for younger children.

To join with us on air tune in to Coast Access Radio 104.7FM from 10.00am or livestream at http://coastaccessradio.org.nz...

Mainly Music – Wednesday from 10.00am. This programme is a fun way for parents and their children to spend quality time together based around music and movement. It is an opportunity for us as a church to connect with and offer something back to the community of which we are a part. It’s also a way for us to demonstrate care, concern and support for those with young children.

Small Groups. We have several groups meeting. Contact the church office@pb.org.nz if you would like to join one.
